 Metcalfe and Evans Ltd manufacture a range of electric
waterbath vaporisers from 3kw to 36kw. These have been used successfully for many years to provide additional vaporisation capacity for liquefied petroleum gas installations
where natural vaporisation has been insufficient.
They are also particularly useful where the LPG feedstock is a mixture of C3 and C4 hydrocarbons in providing a constant
homogenous vapour output, thus avoiding preferential distillation of the lighter hydrocarbons fractions.
On LPG service the vapour output range is from 22 kgs/hr to
280 kgs/hr. Depending on the method of operation the final vapour can be in a superheated state, thus reducing the problems of downstream condensation or reliquefaction.
These vaporisers have, with due attention paid to the materials of construction, been successfully used on other liquefiable gases, such as Chlorine, Hydrogen Chloride, Ammonia, Ethylene, etc.
The company also manufacture a range of custom built shell and tube vaporisers, steam or hot water heated, with capacities up to 10 tonnes/hr.
